At present,China mainly uses rigid limit equilibrium method to analyze the stability against sliding of gravity dam foundation,significant engineering project and complex dams foundation will also be reviewed by finite element method and geomechanical model test.However,according to the actual engineering project,these methods do not fully consider all the factors that affect the stability of the dam foundation.Although the assumption simplifies the calculation method,it does not conform to the actual situation and has many limitations.In this paper,based on the convectional reliability calculation and analysis method,the fuzzy theory of fuzzy mathematics is added,which is more in line with the engineering practice,then,a more reasonable method for calculating the fuzzy reliability of gravity dam stability against sliding is derived.The main contents in this paper are:1.Firstly,the advantages and disadvantages of several common calculation methods in the calculation of the stability against sliding of gravity dams foundation were briefly analyzed in this paper,and the principle and development of rigid body limit equilibrium method and finite element method are given.Secondly,the reliability of the system is summarized,the basic idea of fuzzy random reliability is established based on the classical stochastic reliability,Therefore,the basic concept of structural reliability is introduced in detail,and the widely used central point method,the improved two moment method and Monte Carlo method are introduced in detail.2.The basic knowledge of fuzzy mathematics theory is studied.Models for fuzziness analysis of gravity dam foundation were established through the actual situation of gravity dam foundation,the fuzzy variables and the fuzziness of failure criteria,in the process of dealing with the fuzziness of random parameters,the equivalent trans formation is chosen to transform the fuzzy variables into random variables.When dealing with the fuzziness of failure criteria,the level set of fuzzy constraints is introduced.All the cases are checked by the practical enginerring case,and the rationality of fuzzy random reliability is dicussed.The paper has considered the fuzziness of practical engineering based on classical reliability theory,and transforms fuzziness and random variables,providing some simple ideas for gravity dam stability calculation method.Based on the stability analysis of the dam foundation and practical engineering examples,the fuzzy reliability theory of the dam foundation is discussed in detail and the application of the engineering is analyzed.The rationality of the fuzzy stochastic reliability is demonstrated in detail,and the conclusions which can be used in practical engineering problems are obtained.
