The slope is one of the most basic geological environment in human engineering activities.In recent years,China's slope accidents occur frequently,resulting in a large number of personnel and property losses.There are many painful lessons so that we have to pay attention to the importance of slope engineering.However,at present,the development of slope retaining technology can not meet the needs of the existing projects,in the face of some common complex slope,we need some new and more reasonable retaining structure.This paper introduces the some important problems existing in slope engineering research in China and the research of the retaining structure of high fill slope,then put forward the truss retaining wall.Compared with the traditional retaining wall,the truss retaining wall has great advantages in many aspects.Especially for the high fill slope,the truss retaining wall is superior to the traditional retaining wall in the aspects of force,cost and time limit.As a new type of retaining wall,the analysis of its working properties and the construction of the structure form are two most important problems.This paper introduces the structure form and retaining principle of the truss retaining wall,and proposes a new and more reasonable theory of unload baring board retaining wall's lateral earth pressure;then discuss the internal force analysis method of the truss retaining wall and summarize its design methods;then,we use the the finite element analysis software to research the working properties of the truss retaining wall and compared with the traditional anti slide pile retaining wall.Then,the system optimization of truss retaining wall structure is studied from several different angles.Finally,this paper illustrates the economic advantages of the truss retaining wall through a engineering case.Although this kind of retaining wall has not been applied to the actual project,the rationality and advantage of the truss retaining wall can be seen.In the last chapter of this paper,the author discusses several problems of the truss retaining wall in the future,hoping that the theoretical system of the truss retaining wall will be more perfect and reflect its value in practical engineering.
