Engineering Application Of Virtual Prototype Technology

The traditional design method has many disadvantages such as long design cycle,high cost and low performance.The virtual prototype technology(VPT)can establish a digital model of the product by using the engineering simulation software maturity.Using virt ua l prototype technology,the ent it y modeling,product analys is,performance evaluation and optimization can be completed in the computer,which can help to discover design flaws,and achieve optimization design.The virtual prototyping technology has the advantages of short design cycle,low cost and high quality of product design.The virtual prototyping technology has been widely used in aerospace,automobile manufacturing,shipbuilding,military equipment,machinery,and entertainment equipment and other fields.In this paper,the dynamics simulation of the scraper conveyor chain system has been done using ADAMS.The rigid dynamics model and rigid flexible coupling dynamics model were established.The key parts of the scraper conveyor chain system was analyzed by finite element method using Patran.Also,the rigid dynamics model and rigid flexible coupling dynamics model of mechanical hand were established.The dynamics simulation of mechanical hand has been done using ADAMS.The key parts of mechanical hand was analyzed by finite element method using Patran.
