Our country’s hydropower developed very quickly in recent years,there are a lot of hydropower stations which have the properties of low-head or middle-head>high-discharge have been built,such as La Zhuang hydropower station.In the process of the system running,the action such as head fluctuation and load fluctuation have influence on the safety operation of system of power generation and water diversion.In the past,the theory study of the stability of hydraulic regulating system in this kind of hydropower station can’t come up with the practical engineering.Most theory assumed the system with same units and output;one unit in symmetrical conduits;coherent governing.But most system are not like this in fact.Reviewed the predecessors’ theory,and based on the hydraulic and governor system which has one tunnel with one units,establishing a new system with many units sharing in one diversion pipeline by increasing speed of units、using the equations of governor and dynamic.At the same time,analysis the influence of different factors such as the diversion pipe length、the generator on this kind of system,and from the angle of stable domain,studying the influence of the turbine and governor self-adjusting ability to the critical stable sectional area of surge tank,provide relatively reliable basis for practical engineering.The conlusion can be conclude through the simulation computation:The stability of this kind of system change with the decrease of diversion pipe length,the stability region of this system also increases with the reduction of pipe length,due to the effect of turbine characteristic,surge tank stable sectional area is determined by the working condition of minimum turbine head,and any system with surge tank have a critical stable domain,Its size is about 1.138 times of stable section area.The design of surge tank should be based on the quality request of control system,and the section of surge tank should not be less than the minimum critical stable sectional area.
