In recent years,with the rapid development of offshore wind farms,maintenance vessels in wind farms become an urgent need and a research hot topic.Aiming at the special situation of high tide and low tide in the intertidal wind farms in China,and the present situation of no dedicated equipment for intertidal wind farms,in order to guarantee generator systems in intertidal wind farms to work normally,we chose to design an amphibious maintenance ship in wind farm which satisfied all the property requirements,and it will be of significance in improving the efficiency of wind farm operation.According to the intertidal wind farms' use requirements for maintenance vessels,three different forms of maintenance vessels are analyzed and demonstrated to determine that the maintenance vessel in offshore intertidal wind farms adopted amphibious trimaran,the water propulsion adopted propeller and the driving method adopted wheeled model.A set of Single-power dual-drive amphibious drive system are determined.At the same time,according to the function and property requirements of maintenance vessels,combined with the characteristics of trimaran,considering the requirement of the amphibious trimaran's water navigation performance and on-land driving performance,design scheme were done and the principal particulars of this ship were determined.Combined with the hull forms,mould lines for the certain principal particulars were designed with the tool of the professional marine engineering software NAPA.And then the layout of the amphibious trimaran were designed according to the specific requirements of it.The principle design of the amphibious on-land drive system was carried out and the calculation and selection of the main hydraulic actuators were completed,through the performance analysis to amphibious trimaran's driving system on land,as well as design requirements of hydraulic system,and used software SolidWorks to design the wheel-retracting gear of amphibious trimaran.CFD software FINE/Marine were used to establish three-dimensional numerical tank.Regarding rapidity as prior alternative condition,two optimal schemes were chosen from nine schemes of amphibious trimaran which differ in location of side hulls,then regarding seakeeping as assistant index to do simulation calculations related to seakeeping,so we can elect the hull form which is superior comparatively in performance and suitable for the maintenance of wind farms.Finally,3ds Max was used to design overall effect of amphibious trimaran for offshore intertidal wind farms.The relative research results in this paper will provide references for the developing design and research of hull forms of amphibious maintenance ship for offshore intertidal wind farms.
