Pumped storage power plant as an energy storage method in the electric power system has an irreplaceable role.Pump-turbine as the core of pumped storage power station,its transient process of starting to merging and synchronizing to power grids is important for exploring the optimal starting mode of machine set.In this paper,a model pump-turbine is used as the research object,and we study the force characteristic of the active gu ide vane from the closed state to a larger opening state.Through the three-step calculation,the progressive study of the hydraulic moment and radial force of the guide vane during the opening of the guide vane is carried out.First of all,the flow field of several aperture during the opening of the guide vane is simulated and its force is analyzed.It is found that the radial force and moment on the guide vane are directly related to the fluid velocity around the guide vane.Then unsteady simulate the guide vane from the closed state to a larger opening state,and analyze the stress process during the opening of the activities guide vane.Unsteady simulation of diversion components is conducted,and through the UDF the opening of guide vane is controlled.It is found that the radial force and the moment coefficient decrease with the opening of the guide vane,and the change of the radial force angle of the guide vane is different.When the guide vane open to a certain degree of opening,flow fluctuations take place.Fluctuation of the flow periodically affects the local pressure in the flow channel,thus the vane force characteristic receives periodic effects.Finally,in an approximate way,unsteady simulation of flow field in the process of opening the gui de vane of the whole unit is conducted.In calculation,the simulated flow increases with the opening of guide vanes by using UDF to control the flow boundary conditions,and using 6 DOF to control the runner movement and using the dynamic grid to control t he opening of guide vane.The flow field in the process of opening the guide vane for a short period of time is obtained.The analysis shows that the force characteristic of the guide vane is basically in agreement with the previous simulations,the except ion is that the pressure fluctuation is larger than in the calculation.
