Loess landslide is the common geological disasters in the loess area,the loess landslide in south JingYang Plateau has the characteristics of high speed and long moving distance,this type of loess landslide impairs economy and security of mankind seriously.So for the research of loess landslides have important realistic significance.This paper takes loess landslide of Miao Dian village as an example,through field investigation,collected the data of related geological field,laboratory experiments and numerical simulation,analyzed the physical and mechanical properties of loess in the study area,the basic characteristics of landslide,the characteristics of crack development,the mechanism of formation and movement.The main research content are as follows:(1)Through the field investigation,we obtain the geological environment of the study area,it includes meteorology and hydrology,topography,lithology,geologic structure and hydrogeology,at the same time also to analyzed the loess characteristics in the study area.(2)On the development characteristics of Miao Dian village loess landslide has carried on the detailed investigation,determine the characteristic of deposit and trailing edge cracks of landslide,landslide stratum structure.(3)Study the characteristics of landslide trailing edge cracks development is a major work in field investigation,extension of the edge cracks destroy the integrity of the slope,the trailing edge cracks development advantage of the channel for surface water infiltration,the infiltration of surface water accelerated the formation of saturated loess lager,under the pressure of the upper soil,the saturated loess in creep deforming toward direction of free-face.According to the developmental characteristics of the cracks,that the study area loess landslide mainly through three stages: developmental stage—deformation stage—sliding stage.(4)Landslide mass and the terrace of interaction to form the unique loess landslide movement features in the study area,in a number of landslide front we found there have poured out of terrace sand on the surface of the landslide mass,analysis the ring shear test result of the sand from the terrace,it has strong liquefactive,sand liquefaction is the important reason for the landslide remote sliding.Using PFC2 D software simulated the Miao Dian village loess landslide,studied the movement characteristics of the sand layer when in the process of the landslide mass interaction with terrace.
