Due to efficiency and durability characteristics,hydraulic excavator is widely used in construction.And it has been one of important research object in energy saving of construction machinery for big usage,high fuel consumption and severe pollution.Energy recovery is one of effective measures in the research of energy saving of hydraulic excavator.For the purpose of energy recovery of hybrid excavator boom,this paper studies from the aspects of scheme design,parameter selection,recovery efficiency and control method,which provide the reference to the design of energy recovery system of hybrid excavator.Firstly,the working condition and principle of hydraulic excavator are analyzed.By calculation and analysis of the boom circuit,maximum recoverable energy in the falling process of the boom is obtained.On the basis of summarizing the existing energy recovery technology,a new type of energy recovery system is proposed.In this system,a small accumulator is added in the traditional electric energy recovery system,then the working mode of the recovery system is controlled by detecting the inlet pressure of the accumulator to improve energy recovery efficiency,and the working principle and control procedures are introduced.Secondly,the mathematical model of excavator working load is established.Using Pro/E software to build three dimensional numerical mode of working devices,then the dynamic simulation analysis of the model which imported to ADAMS software is carried out;the mathematical model of main component of energy recovery system is built to calculate and selecte,then the simulation model of energy recovery system is established in AMESim software.Based on the data exchange between AMESim software and ADAMS software,the electro-hydraulic simulation model of energy recovery system is established.Finally,the main components affected the energy recovery efficiency of the system are simulated and analyzed,which further research on the methods of improving efficiency of energy recovery of system.Meanwhile,conducting research on system control method and strategy,PID control is used to control the speed of the motor.The simulation analysis shows,the energy recovery rate and energy utilization ratio of system has risen greatly by addding PID control.The energy recovery rate has reached 79.4%,and the energy utilization ratio has reached 57%.
