The development and utilization of marine energy are of great significance for issues like protecting the environment,reducing the original ecological destruction of the earth,and relieving the crisis of energy supply.Based on the understanding of various wave energy conversion devices,this paper puts forward a kind of floating wave energy generation device and studies its performance by taking into account the existing problems of such devices,the practical application environment and the complexity of structural design.The main research work includes:Firstly,the structural components and operating principles of the floating wave power generation device were elaborated.The floaters of the device are driven to move up and down by the up and down motion of waves to rotate the ratchets,then the device converts wave energy into mechanical energy and ultimately output the energy through the generator.The motion module of the software UG was adopted to simulate the applicability of the device as well as the energy transmission path under various speed modes;the applicability of the device was proved to be good by simulations conducted under harsh sea conditions.Secondly,simulation analysis was conducted to the hydrodynamic performance of floaters' specific parameters to obtain the optimal wave frequency of the floaters.Different immersion degrees and floater sizes were compared to obtain the solution most suitable to the device's structure.The RAO(response amplitude operator)value of floaters reached the maximum and the wave collection efficiency also increased under such solution.The influence of wave direction,wave period and other factors were studied to determine their influence on the working condition of the device,and it was found that the floater amplitude reached the minimum and the average amplitude was larger when the wave incident angle was 25 o,indicating that the wave incident angle of 25 o was more appropriate for wave collection.The general amplitude was larger when the wave period was 3 seconds,which was the main factor affecting the speed of floaters when moving upwards.The larger the period was,the slower the speed would be.In the end,experiments were carried out to further verify the applicability and hydrodynamic performance of the device.The reasons for errors were discussed based on the comparison and analysis on the experiment data and theoretical data,the results indicated that the floating wave energy generation device presented great performance and conformed to the theoretical basis.
