Two of the hottest issues in society today are the energy shortage and environmentalpollution. The wave energy with environmental protection, recycled and large storage capacity isbecoming one of hot research topics in the field of renewable energy. For a long time, allcountries in the world have invested considerable energy and resources to research on waveenergy, and they developed a variety of wave energy generation devices. This paper introducesthe research background of wave power generation device at home and abroad, analyzes thegeneration principle of wave power generation device, and brief introduction of the wave theoryof wave power device. On this basis, the paper mainly discusses the oscillating buoy wave powerdevice, from the following work.1. According to wave theory, the dynamic characteristics on the oscillating buoy of theoscillating buoy wave power device is analyzed, and the characteristic of dynamics result showsthat the major influencing factors of float to capture wave energy efficiency are the wave force,displacement, velocity, acceleration in vertical direction.2. A simulation calculation of hydrodynamic characteristics of eight kinds of oscillatingbuoys structure is carried out by using AQWA software, and oscillating buoy’s kineticparameters of the wave force, displacement, velocity, acceleration in vertical direction areobtained. Through analyzing eight kinds of oscillating buoys kinetic parameters, the optimumoscillating buoy structure suitable for the Xiamen Sea is obtained.3. In this paper, according to sequential quadratic programming method, the main structuralparameters of the oscillation buoys are optimized and the best structure arguments of buoys isobtained by the basis of oscillating buoy of above analysis. In this structure parameters, the wavevibration and oscillation buoy most likely to resonate, and buoy has the maximum amplitude ofoscillation, and it capturing the most wave energy.
