Bird-strike has been one of the threat that we can't overlook when aircraft is flying.According to the analysis reports of the civil aviation bird-strike aircraft accidents,the probability of windshield impacted by birds was about 10%.And many researches showed that the impacted windshield was much more dangerous than the other components.At present,the airworthiness provisions about bird-strike in CCAR followed FAR,but the situation of bird between China and American have a huge difference.Therefore,in order to reduce the cost of design and manufacture,the modification of the airworthiness provisions in CCAR is necessary.In this paper,the research of bird-strike simulation was carried out,the carrying capacity of structure was calculated,the avian situations between American and China was compare,which will be the basis of modifying airworthiness provisions.Firstly,through a large number of documents,the research methods and airworthiness provisions of bird-strike were summarized and analyzed,as well as the basic theories including large deformation,collision-contact and SPH(Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics).Secondly,the geometric models of bird and windshield were built by HyperMesh and Pam-Crash.In the meantime,the material models of them were chosen,and the material parameters were determined.Thirdly,the research of bird-strike to simple circular arc windshield was carried out to verify the SPH model of bird.Then,large amounts of data was obtained from the post-processing of simulation results,which involved multiple impact points and velocities.Finally,the influence of structural failure was analyzed through these data and the carrying capacity of windshield was evaluated by using residual strength and residual strength coefficients.Meanwhile,the airworthiness provisions about bird-strike between domestic and overseas were compare,the difference of avian situations between American and China was analyzed,and the advice of modifying airworthiness provisions was proposed.
