With the rapid development of modern economy and the increase demand of electricity, the power system has been developed a form with a large network, long distance high voltage transmission structure. However, the worse the air pollution became by the traditional chemical, coal, cement, steel and other heavy industry in power transmission,the more the transformation equipment of pollution flashover accidents increased. To against with Dirt Flashover on Electirc Power Equipment has become one of the most import works for Power Company. In recent years, Room Temperature Vulcanized(Hereinafter referred to as RTV) silicon rubber flashover-proof has been applied to electric power system so widely because of its excellent flashover-proof performance.This paper researches on the methods of RTV construction quality control. which proposed a series of RTV network testing methods, including visual inspection, surface dry time test, dielectric strength test, adhesion test, hydrophobicity test, flammability test, self-cleaning test, mechanical strength test etc., According to the test results, which summed up a reasonable average formula to calculate the comprehensive score, that in order to construct a set of perfect and feasible method to evaluate the performance of RTV coating network, so that can strengthen the RTV network performance testing, and has already achieved good effects.This paper analyses production technique of field manual spraying RTV, researches the impact on RTV property by The curing time and The thickness of the coating. We find that the curing time of the coating is too long, which may cause the problems of coating thickness and adhesion failure, that greatly affect the service time of the RTV. From the above mentioned we know that the thickness of the coating has a certain effect on the maximum electric field strength. When the coating is too thick or too thin, the electric field strength is relatively bigger. In comparison, we recommended that the coating thickness of the RTV is 0.3mm. Besides that, we analyzed the existing problems of manual spraying RTV,and we developed a set of Automatic spraying equipment,which can improve the quality and efficiency of RTV coating, reduce the impact of human factors on the process of spraying, lower the accident rate, what's more,it can reduce the fog substance by automatic spraying equipment at its minimum.We adopted the method of wet power frequency tolerance test, in order to compare the condition of composite insulator and the new coating on the new insulator. In view of the predecessors on RTV pervious research foundation, considering the wetting effect of different methods would influence the new coating interface leading to wet power frequency withstand the difference, such as rain, fog, immersion. In order to observe the long-term effectiveness, we also tested the water power of the insulator. As the pollution flashover voltage is closely related to the surface hydrophobicity. Considering the new coating on the surface of the composite coating has good hydrophobicity and hydrophobicity migration, it will have good effect on anti pollution flashover performance. At last we made the prove in the process of artificial contamination test, we found that the new coating may be burned out by the arc, so it is necessary for us to observe the development of flashover arc, and investigate its effect on the bonding interface. Base on the research and comparison of the RTV material, we can put forward a series of the RTV composite coating process parameters at last.
