Low head porous sluice is a common form of hydro-junction.It has a long history,the construction technology is mature,investment is low.So far,the country built many sluices,which play a huge role in water diversion and agricultural irrigation,promote the development of industry and agriculture of our country,and bring great benefits to the national economy.Therefore,the research of the sluice is of great theoretical significance and practical value,and has been paid more and more attention by the water conservancy workersFor a porous sluice in this paper,by overall hydraulic model test,sluice flow,flow velocity,flow,pressure and erosion characteristics are measured and analyzed,This paper studies the flood discharge capacity,energy dissipation and erosion prevention,operation mode,upstream submerged range,the length of the guide wall of the power station and the lock and so on.Some reasonable suggestions are put forward through the optimization.At the same time,the numerical simulation method of related parameters are calculated,both are in good agreement.The main work and conclusions are as follows:(1)Collecting and organizing the relevant data about the low water head porous sluice.(2)Focusing on the experimental study on porous sluice physical model.For a porous sluice,we use the 1:70 scale making overall hydraulic model test,we observed the flow under different scheme and analyzed the influence on engineering of flow velocity,flow,flow coefficient,downstream erosion and upstream flooding,and we determine the optimal operational scheme.Results show: the river sluice inlet flow pattern is good and the water flow is smooth,the velocity distribution is reasonable,and the flow meets the requirement;the downstream flow pattern is good,the back slope and the depth of the scour pit meet the requirements;the upstream flood scope meets the requirement.(3)Introducing the theory knowledge of numerical simulation and the VOF method of simulating the free water surface.Introducing the numerical simulation of turbulent flow in detail.Introducing the the basic control equation,application of numerical simulation in hydraulic engineering and the method and the software of numerical simulation.A numerical simulation is carried out for block penstock project.(4)Using the numerical analysis method,discharge capacity under the test condition,the height of the water line,pressure,velocity and other parameters were simulated,analyzed and compared with the physical model test data,we come to the consistent conclusion.The feasibility of the numerical method on the study of the hydraulic characteristics of the porous sluice is verified.(5)The research can provide reference value for similar engineering theory analysis and design.
