In the engineering practice, the standard design of the workpiece has been unable to meet the specific conditions of the parts requirements, there are easy to break, low life and other shortcomings. At this point, according to the actual situation to meet the requirements of the components become extremely important. In recent years, people are increasingly demanding for gear design, high load capacity and long life and other objectives makes the application of non-standard gear design more widely. In this paper, the problem of non-standard gear carrying capacity in vehicle transmission is studied.Firstly, according to the characteristics of involute meshing gear transmission, the addendum coefficient, pressure angle, modification coefficient and helix angle are selected as the research object, find and analyze the selection of these parameters and the impact of non-standard parameters on gear transmission performance.Secondly, from the failure form of the transmission gear, the GB / T3480.1997 involute cylindrical gear carrying capacity calculation method is used to calculate the gears with different non-standard tooth parameters, analyzing the influence of these non-standard parameters on gear carrying capacity, and some suggestions are given for the selection of transmission parameters. The model is introduced into the finite element ANSYS Workbench software by using Pro/ E parametric 3D software to simulate the gears. The maximum stress values corresponding to the dangerous positions of bending and contact are simulated and compared with the theoretical values. Finally, the optimization parameters of the whole parameters are optimized by MATLAB optimization toolbox for the tooth parameters in a certain automobile transmission, and the optimized gear carrying capacity is discussed. The results show that the parameters such as spiral Angle and high tooth coefficient are the main factors affecting the load capacity of the gears. The smaller the stress between the tooth root and the tooth surface, the greater the load carrying capacity of the gear. The combination of non-standardparameters can effectively improve the carrying capacity of transmission gears. For example, the combination of large helix angle and large tooth height can effectively improve the gear contact strength, but there is a decreasing trend for bending strength, which needs to be based on specific processing methods and gear applications to use the conditions for analysis and selection.
