Because of advantages of wide range power, high transmission efficiency, accurate drive ratio, long life and safety, Gear transmission is widely employed. The most common Gears include the involute gear, the arc gear, involute-circular tooth gear and so on.Based on analyzing the structure and transmission performance of the involute gear, the arc gear and the involute-circular tooth gear,The paper introduce a new gear mechanism named the double meshing points involute-circular tooth gear. In this paper, the structure and the performance of the gear is introduced and analyzed.The engagement principle of the new-typed gear is made on basis of the single meshing pointed involute-circular tooth gear. And the equations of the contact lines and the tooth surfaces are derived in this degree paper. The equation of the meshing line and the equation of the tooth surface are derived.With reference to the structure of the double meshing points involute-circular tooth gear, the article clarifies that the contact ratio is composed of transverse contact ratio and overlap ratio. It also derives the concerning computation formula and carries out computation and analysis by using computer.On basis of the engagement principle, the equations of the contact lines and the tooth surfaces of the new-typed gear, this paper finish the 3-D parametric models in Pro/E software. It provides the modal data for the analysis of the contact stress and bending stress.Based on the engineering software ANSYS, the contact stress finite element analysis of the new-typed gear is done respectively to obtain the maximum contact stress and find the laws of the distribution of the contact stress.The thesis establish the FEM model of the double meshing points involute-circular tooth gear and analyzes the bending stress of the root of the gear and find the laws of the distribution of the bending stress.
