As a new type of driving training equipment for automobile,the virtual driving simulator can simulate all kinds of motion state of the motor vehicle,and meanwhile it also can enhance the students' sense of reality and immersion in the course of driving training,improve the training quality of students.The development of the virtual driving simulator is very good.And then,Compared with the traditional training simulator,the virtual driving simulator has many incomparable advantages,such as more convenience of using ability,vivid effect of simulation,strong sense of dynamic and immersion,nice performance of security and so on.At present,the six degree of freedom parallel mechanism is usually used as driving simulator in the market.However,due to the high cost of this structure,and the lower economic applicability,so the prospects for application is not good.Therefore,it has a great significance to develop a virtual driving simulator based on virtual reality technology,This virtual driving simulator can meet the requirements of driving training for students and have a stronger economic applicability.First of all,this paper introduces the background and significance of the virtual driving simulator,analyzes the research status of the driving simulator at home and abroad.The research status of the parallel mechanism is introduced.At the same time,by analyzing the driving state of motion of the automobile,the configurable scheme which being designed for the 4 degree of freedom simulator should meet the requirements of the motion of state.The Inverse mathematical model of the mechanism can be solved by analyzing the kinematics for the mechanism.Secondly,using the virtual simulation software(ADAMS)to simulate the kinematics of the virtual driving simulator.The displacement curve about time of the slider in the simulator is obtained by simulation,and compared with the displacement curve about time of the slider which calculated with MATLAB software.In which case,it shows that the solution of the inverse mathematical model is correct.Simultaneously,it requires analyzing the positive solution of the kinematics for the mechanism,and verified each other with the inverse solution of the kinematics for the mechanism.And then,it needs to design the control system of the simulator.The transmission system should be controlled with closed loop control and the transfer function of the system should be solved.The fuzzy PID control algorithm is used to make the control system accurately.At the same time,finishing the module design of the control system of the simulator and completing the program design of each module.These works are ready for the communication with the visual simulation system.Finally,it needs to design the mechanical and electrical parts of the virtual driving simulator,and the production should be manufactured.It needs to calculate and select the key parts of the mechanism.It needs to select the appropriate plan of electrical control scheme and build the circuit of electrical control.Furthermore,it needs to complete the communication between virtual driving system and 4 degree of freedom simulator by combining with the virtual reality technology.it also needs to realize the function of virtual interaction for the simulator.
