Considering the original defect and imperfection buckling characteristics for rock structure of bedding slope,the mechanical model is established which is in line with the occurrence status for rock structure of bedding slope.The buckling and post-buckling behavior for rock structure of bedding slope is studied by using the initial post-buckling theory and the cusp catastrophe theory firstly.By using the geometric nonlinear large deformation theory and Lagrange theory,the post-buckling behavior for rock structure of bedding slope is analyzed and another nonlinear relationship is derived between mode amplitude and the limit length departing from the underlying rock secondly.The stability for rock structure of bedding slope is analyzed and four kinds of buckling failure criterion are established finally.The slope project example of Ya Long River King Mountain is calculated and analyzed.The main content and conclusions are summarized as follows:1.The buckling behavior for rock structure of bedding slope is explored by using the initial post-buckling theory and the cusp catastrophe theory.The critical buckling load and mode amplitude equation for rock structure of bedding slope is obtained and the bifurcation equation under buckling catastrophe status is given.The quadratic nonlinear relationship is determined between mode amplitude and the limit length departing from the underlying rock.The results show that the load increment of spanning bifurcation point and the critical load at bifurcation point is determined by the bifurcated set of cusp catastrophe model;the load increment is only relevant with material properties,geometric features and slope angel.It is independent with the limit length departing from the underlying rock.The ripping factor which depends on bedding slope angel can split formulas of temporary space slope and temporary gas slope,and the ripping results show the nonlinear relationship between mode amplitude and the limit length departing from the underlying rock.2.By using the geometric nonlinear large deformation theory and Lagrange theory,the post-buckling behavior for rock structure of bedding slope is analyzed.The location of the buckling failure point can be determined by using dichotomy.Another nonlinear relationship is derived between mode amplitude and the limit length departing from the underlying rock.The results show that the mode amplitude has a relation with the location of breakpoint and the limit length departing from the underlying rock.The breaking point is unique and the breaking point isn't the midpoint of the rock formation which departing from the underlying rock because of the influence of the gravity.The location of buckling failure point is different for different slope rock mass structure.It has a relation with angel,material and some other factors.3.Based on the stability theory for rock structure of bedding slope,on the one hand,the expression of mode amplitude,the limit length departing from the underlying rock,the displacement of upper part and length of the upper part are derived and the buckling failure criterion for rock structure of bedding slope is established;based on the buckling failure criterion,the slope project example of Ya Long River King Mountain is calculated and analyzed on the other hand.The result is close to the existing result and the affect caused by relevant factors is analyzed,so the theoretical research provides a basis for the assessment of slope stability.
