Stability Analysis Of Stratified Rock Slope

Stratified rock slope mainly develops a group of alternative stratified joint. According to the angle's relation of joint and slope,it can be divided into three parts:horizontal,reversal incline and bedding slope. Among these,the bedding slope is most likely to slide,although a large number of researches have been made,but its theory needs to be further developed for the question's complexity. Some important factors are always neglected in analysis. And some researches are based on a scheduled failure mode,this will improve the ability of resist failure in a certain extent. So there are some difference between the calculate result and the fact.Therefore,this paper makes a research of the stability of bedding stratified rock slope. At first,the mechanical model of joint is discussed,and the constitutive relation of the rough joint,especially the bolt-supported joint,is given. Then bedding slide of bedding stratified rock slope is studied adopting limit equilibrium method,and a formula of stability is brought forward. At last,the bedding stratified rock slope's buckling deformation and failure mechanism and its evaluating method of stability is investigated,a corresponding mechanics model is established,then detail research to this failure mode is made in theory combining the energy law and elastic stability theory of plate and beam,and an analytical solution of the yielding curve is educed from this model. Two concepts of critical length of slope and maximum buckling place is defined here to evaluate its stability. Applications of two practical projects demonstrate this method's accuracy and feasibility. At the same time,all the factors which maybe infect the slope's stability,such as the mechanical performance of joint and rock,physical and geometrical character of slope,are considered.A theory of evaluating the stability of bedding stratified rock slope is preliminary established by this research,which will make a contribution to further understand of its failure mechanism,improve feasibility and reliability of its analysis method,provide the fundamental theory on this slope's prevention and cure.
