Base isolation technology is an economical and effective damping means,and now it has been widely used in architecture s around the wor ld.T he isolation structure has desirable damping effect in the earthquake,while faced the strong earthquake,the upper structure of the base isolation structure is likely to occur cumulative damage caused by elastoplastic deformation,and the isolation b earings will also apt to failure due to excessive deformation and excessive tension,which will be resulted in a greater overall damage to the structure or collapse.Because of the current research on the damage and collapse are mostly for the general stru cture,therefore,in the base isolation structure of reinforced concrete frame is taken as the object of study in this paper.From the point view of damage,we compare and analyze the isolation structure before and after the accidental failure of isolated bearings.We utilize the double parameter methods of deformation and energy to analysis the isolation structure,and identify the damage path of the isolation structure by the damage index.T he detail works are as follows:(1)Based on the modeling unit which is contained in elastic-plastic analysis software Perform-3D,we establish the good order and failure finite element model of base isolation structure,which are respectively analyzed by dynamic time-history analysis in the near field and far field ear thquake.From the degree of power to analyze the differences seismic input energy and its energy distribution regular,the differences of hysteretic energy within each story,the hysteretic energy of each floor and differences between the hysteretic energy of each components.(2)According to the energy and deformation parameters of component obtained in Perform-3D software,we calculate the damage index of each component,and analysis the damage index changes of the residual structure and the original structure of the original structure,which is caused by the failure of the angle support,the failure of the support in the short side,the failure of the support in the long side and the failure of the inner support,and analysis the damage index changes of isolation bearings,isolation layer beams,upper structure beams and columns,and the damage of other components' influence range and degree that the bearings failure in different position.Finally,the damage range and the damage path of the whole stru cture are analyzed by the comprehensive analysis of the failure of the isolation bearings.(3)T he choice of different ground motions,namely bi-directional ground motions and three ground motions,nonlinear dynamic analysis of bearing structure damage after failure,a comparative study of different seismic isolation bearing on damage of structure damage,the damage of the beam and the effect damage of pillar.
