| The buckling restrained brace is a new type of support component,where the stress of section can reach yield under the condition of tensile load and compression load.It has advantages of light weight,low cost,easy installation,flexible arrangement and so on,and when used in the building structure,it can not only improve the lateral stiffness but also effectively absorb and dissipate the energy input from the outside world,reduc ing the seismic response of the structure.The buckling restrained brace can be divided into different types of braces according to the shape of the kernel unit and the outer sleeve and the seismic performance is different for different types of buckling restrained braces.In this paper,the cross plate buckling restrained brace with two yield stages was studied and its theoretical analysis and numerical simulation were carried out.The main contents are as follows:Firstly,the basic theories including the research background,the composition,the basic principle,the classification,the research status,the advantages and disadvantages of the buckling restrained brace were introduced,and theoretical analysis of the stability of the cross plate buckling restrained brace with two yield stages was carried out and relevant formulas were derived,including requirements of the overall stability,the local stability,the connection section stability,etc.By consulting references and deriving related formulas,the bearing capacity formula and the displacement formula of the cross plate buckling restrained brace with two yield stages were obtained.Secondly,the finite element software ABAQUS was used to simulate the cross plate buckling restrained brace with two yield stages.The influence of the structural parameters,the friction coefficient,the gap,the confinement ratio,the slenderness ratio of the weakened section of the kernel unit and the aspect ratio of the connecting section on the energy dissipation performance of the buckling restrained brace were analyzed and the recommended values of the parameters were given.Finally,the design method of the cross plate buckling restrained brace with two yield stages was discussed,and the housing energy dissipation was briefly described with foreign and China’s seismic design norms.From the basic requirements,the design features,the support arrangement and the design flow and other aspects,the design method of the buckling restrained brace was discussed,which can provide certain references for the engineering staff,and an example of the brace was given. |
