With the development of China’s economy into a new normal,urbanization continues to advance,the development of civil construction mushroomed,in addition to the demand for energy for the continuous improvement of the quality of energy has gradually been higher requirements.However,China’s current power production is in the transition stage,emphasizing the green development,accompanied by the increase in energy consumption of civil buildings in China,and a large number of low power factor in the use of non-linear electrical equipment,resulting in a lower power distribution system power factor,So that power can not be fully utilized.Therefore,the reactive power compensation of the distribution system can be used as an effective way to solve this problem.This paper focuses on the design of distribution system in civil buildings,and aims to improve the power factor of distribution system.The research and analysis of reactive power compensation is introduced.From the understanding of the concept of power factor to start,introduced in detail the active power,reactive power and apparent power of the mathematical concept for the next reactive power compensation provides a theoretical basis.Then,the significance of reactive power compensation in power distribution system is analyzed,and the significant effect of reactive power compensation in reducing load current,reducing line voltage drop and reducing equipment capacity is obtained by derivation and calculation of formula.Power factor of power distribution system.Then from the point of view of actual measurement,the calculation methods of several power factors are introduced,which provide the theoretical basis for the measurement of power factor in the example.Finally,according to China’s current electricity pricing standard,the paper analyzes the practical utility of improving the power factor in economic efficiency,and provides the theoretical basis for the analysis of the economic and feasibility of the final case.Followed by the way to improve the power factor,divided into two aspects: to improve the natural power factor and active input reactive power compensation equipment are described.As the core of this article,the former mainly from the rational selection of transformers,motors and wire models from the perspective of the analysis.The design of reactive power compensation is analyzed from the choice of compensation capacity and compensation method.Finally,the basic principle and performance of the parallel capacitor,the static var compensator and the dynamic active generator are introduced,and their application and compensation effect are compared in different occasions.The reactive power compensation design of the distribution system of a civil building is selected and the SVG reactive power compensation device is selected.After the data is collated and calculated,the design scheme is verified by Matlab / Simulink simulation software,which proves the feasibility of the scheme.
