Foundation Type Selection Design Research Of A High-rise Residential Building In Xi’an

With more and more high-rise building construction in China,more attention was payed on the basement as it is an important part the the whole structure.That is because play a important role on transferring the load from the upper structure to the foundation.The upper structure、basement and the foundation should be considered together at the same time to choose a best basis of the building when they were designed.With the expanding construction of this urban,most building are built,and some of them is constructed on the soft ground inevitably.The safety of the foundation the most basic condition of the building,so it must be designed rigorous.Xi’an city engineering geological conditions and hydro-geological conditions were investigated firstly,then a typical geological profile was drawn;then comprehensive evaluation of the engineering geological conditions of the urban area of Xi’an was obtained,which could provide a basis for rational choosing of the foundation type;the characteristics of foundations,conditions,principle of design calculation were introduced separately also,and at last,a practice project was analysed to research the selection of Foundation,furthermore,perfusion piles were selected for south part of this project according to the geological characteristics,and the piles were designed and checked.It provides experiences for the analysis of the urban area development project feasibility study through analyzing the urban district engineering geological and hydrogeological haracteristics;more reasonable choice of foundation type will be done through the research and analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of commonly used forms the basis,and also the capacity of foundation will improve,the differential settlement will be reduced,the and research makes a certain significance on the safety of the building and the reduction of project cost.
