With the development of economy,more and more forklift trucks are used.Meanwhile the customers are increasingly demanding the performance and quality of the forklift truck.Brake of forklift truck is an important safety component.The forklift truck factory and the customer pay more attention to the performance,quality,reliability and service life of the brake.The shoe type brake is the most commonly used forklift truck brake,according to the quality problem of the user feedback on these brakes,this thesis study up on the bake of 4-5 ton,and improved the design.First of all,this thesis introduces the structure and the performance of the brake,and the calculation method named Efficiency factor method of 4-5 ton forklift truck.This thesis discusses the calculation method of the objective value of brake moment,and the method for determining the moment of checking the strength of the forklift truck brake.Meanwhile,I calculate the objective value of brake moment,brake efficiency,and the moment of checking the strength of the brake of 4-5 ton forklift truck.At last,take this kind of brake for example,analysis the influence of brake efficiency on the structure parameter of the shoe type brake that with automatic reinforcement.Secondly,according to analysis the structure parameter of 1-10 ton forklift brake,combing with the overall structure requirements of 4-5 ton forklift truck,an improved scheme of the forklift truck brake is presented.By increasing the width of the brake shoe,the surface area of the friction piece is increased,thereby reducing the specific pressure on the surface of the friction piece,and improving the service life of the friction piece.By modifying the structure of the brake shoe,improve brake strength,prevent cracking failure of brake shoe.Through the local strengthening of the brake floor,improved the strength of the brake floor.Finally,based on the ANSYS Workbench that is analysis software of CAE,this thesis makes an intensity analysis.The strength analysis of the brake floor and brake shoe assembly is carried out.This provides the theoretical support for the quality and reliability of the improved brake.We tracked the use of the improved 4-5 ton forklift truck brakes,and validated the reliability of the improved brake strength.In this thesis,the method of determining the strength checking torque of the forklift truck brake is discussed,and the influence of brake structural parameters on braking efficiency is analyzed.Meanwhile,based on the research of the brake quality,the structure of the 4-5 ton forklift truck brake is improved and optimized,and the brake with reliable quality and superior performance is obtained.The research ideas and research work will be of great value in improving the strength and quality of other types of brakes in the future.
