| With the progress and the development of the time,China’s transportation infrastructure construction has made great achievements,and constantly promotes the progress of the highway culvert design and construction technology.Based on the many problems of the existing《the design rule of highway culvert》and the revision on the content of many prior rules,so there is an urgent need for a new《the design rule of highway culvert》to guide and regulate highway engineering construction.Based on the existing data and specification,this paper improves the structural design section of the revise of 《the design rule of highway culvert》through the method of theoretical analysis and numerical calculation.The main achievements are shown as the following:(1)During the structural design of the open culvert,the mid span moment value and the fulcrum shear value generated by the lane load and the vehicle load should be calculated respectively,and the larger values should be taken as the control factors to design the structure.(2)When calculating the vehicle load,this paper puts forward a new idea to carry out vehicle load in space.(3)This paper improves the discriminant formula of rigid pipe culvert and flexible pipe.The new formula takes into account more factors,and it can distinguish the rigidity and flexibility of the pipe culvert more clearly.This paper also revises the formula of arch culvert in the existing rule,and an example is given to prove that the revised formula is reasonable.(4)Based on the improvement of original numerical calculation model,this paper adopts the ABAQUS finite element analysis software to get the bending moment reduction factor ,when that are compared with the original data,the results are not very well.So the bending moment reduction factor in the new 《the design rule of highway culvert》 have to be improved.This paper provides a theoretical evidence for the new 《the design rule of highway culvert》 on the section of the selection of vehicle load and the improvement the bending moment reduction factor .And the example analysis of the circular culvert and the box culvert provide a good example for the designers. |
