In modern human society,economic,political and life activities are closely linked with a car,because it brings people a convenient traffic and comfortable life.However,road traffic also brings about some negative influences.With the growth of car ownerships,traffic accidents are also increasing especially pedestrian-vehicle accidents.The pedestrian-vehicle accident seriously threatens the safety of human life and property.In addition,it often causes some disputes impacting public stability.Therefore,it is important for us to research on the pedestrian-vehicle accident.Vehicle-pedestrian collision is a major type traffic accident in China,which has been attracted close attention by people because of its high fatality rate.However,it is difficult for traffic management department to reconstruct such kind of accident.As a critical process in traffic accident identification,accident reconstruction has become the focus of traffic safety research field.For the purpose of vehicle velocity estimating in the vehicle-pedestrian accident reconstruction,in this paper,a simulation study of vehicle-pedestrian collision based on PC-CRASH programs has been taken.Meanwhile,we utilize the uncertainty theory,Pc-Crash software and MATLAB simulation platform to evaluate the uncertain factors of the vehicle speed calculation model based on pedestrian first landing distance.The main work of the paper can be summarized as the following two parts:Firstly,at the basis of previous researches,we build a model of calculating the vehicle speed based on the pedestrian first landing distance.Secondly,based on simulation experiments and actual cases,we verify the effectiveness of the proposed method by comparing with two other methods of the speed calculation.Finally,the influence of pedestrian throw angle,road gradient and height on the estimated value of the vehicle speed is analyzed by MATLAB simulation platform.Based on the uncertainty theory,we evaluate the uncertainty of parameters of the established model in this paper and the vehicle speed which it calculates.The accuracy of the speed value which the established model calculates is improved,when some parameters cannot be obtained accurately.Then,based on MATLAB numerical verification,Pc-Crash software simulation and existing models based on throw distance,we verify the reliability and effectiveness of the vehicle speed calculation model built and the uncertainty theory in practical application. |
