| In recent years,the research of fault location for transmission line is becoming more and more mature,and it has achieved good results in the field running.But research on wide-area fault location method still in the theory,due to topology changes,information bias,lack of synchronous clock in operation of the power grid,the accuracy of wide-area fault location cannot be guaranteed.Fast and accurate fault location in complex power grid is crucial to ensure the safe operation of power grid.Traditional fault location for transmission line rising to wide-area fault location in complex power grid is an inevitable tendency.This paper briefly introduces the research status of fault location method at home and abroad,including the development of impedance method,transient method for transmission line and wide-area grid.Then,time domain,frequency domain and energy domain characteristics of transient traveling wave are analyzed.Furthermore,acquisition and analysis of transient signal are explained.This paper mainly describes the correlation properties of multi-dimensional fault characteristics in complex power grid,and put forward the optimized clustering analysis algorithm to realize fast and accurate identification of the fault area in complex power grid based on constructing multi-dimensional fault vector space.Self-adaptive location zone used for fault information fusion is intelligent constructed by fault area and fault boundary area.Linear equations are established by correlation properties of spatio-temporal information in location zone and solved by the least square method,getting fault location results and fault occurrence time.At the same time,reliability considering grid topology changes,measurement information errors or mistakes and applicability in different fault conditions of the proposed method are analyzed;Finally,the paper proposed a general fault location method given the circumstances that synchronous clock in complex power grid fail to achieve.Self-adaptation zero-mode velocity is calculated by constructing the correlation characteristic between frequency domain and energy domain,then combined with the asynchrony time difference,fault location is realized.The IEEE 30-Bus System and IEEE 57-Bus System Standard Test System are built in PSCAD/EMTDC software,large number of simulation results show that the proposed wide-area fault method has high accuracy and robustness. |
