The urban rail transit is an ideal way to solve transportation problem,with its characteristics of large capacity,high efficiency,convenient,and low pollution.In recent years,urban rail transit develop rapidly in China.Rail vehicle brake produces mass of regenerating energy,due to technical constrains,most of the energy is dissipated by braking resistor currently.The extra energy is wasted in heat,then increases the burden of heat sink system.The research on the utilization of regenerating energy is of great signification to improve the energy utilization and save energy.Four different methods of energy absorption are introduced,including braking resistor,inverter feedback,ultracapacitor,and flywheel.The ultracapacitor energy storage technology and flywheel energy storage technology are studied in this thesis.Firstly,the thesis analyzes the traction power network and the traction system of metro vehicle based on Nanjing Metro Line One.According to metro system modeling by MATLAB/Simulink toolbox,the metro vehicle's braking power/energy and the traction power network's voltage can be calculated.Secondly,the ultracapacitor energy storage system is designed,including choosing the topology of DC-DC converter,designing the ultracapacitor series and making control strategy.The energy storage system modeling is established to confirm the system's effect of energy storage and voltage regulation.Then,the flywheel energy storage system is designed,including choosing the stored energy machine,modulating three-phase PWM converter and making strategy of flywheel control system By simulation and energy recovery efficiency analysis,the feasible of flywheel energy storage system is verified.In the final part,the energy storage and voltage regulation characteristics of ultracapacitor energy storage system and flywheel energy storage system are tested through low voltage and low-power experiments.
