With the progress of Computer technology and people's living standards,smart home products become more and more popular and the market have great potential.Currently,there are various protocols for smart home products,such as Sub-1G,Z-Wave,ZigBee and so on.The smart home products between different brands cannot be interconnected.Thread Group,one of the five major alliances of the IOT standard certification,proposed a simplified version of the Mesh network standard Thread based on IEEE 802.15.4 in 2015.Thread provides a technical foundation for the standardization of smart home industry,and applies to the field of smart home and IOT,and the smart home products from different brands can be connected in the future.OpenThread protocol based on the Thread standard has the advantages of supporting IPv6,simple structure,low power consumption,scalability and so on.In this paper,OpenThread protocol is selected as the communication protocol of smart home system.This article first introduces the development status of smart home,summarizes the current problems of smart home fragmentation status,and then introduces several common communication standards and communication protocols in the field of smart home,and leads to the OpenThread protocol to be used in this paper.Aiming at the problem that the IPv6 header in the OpenThread protocol is too large and not conducive to data transmission,the IPv6 address is compressed and the frame format of the IEEE 802.15.4 data link layer is simplified,thereby saving the transmission consumption.In view of the problem of random assignment of IPv6 addresses in OpenThread nodes,the IPv6 addressing is improved,which makes it easier for the Child node communicating with the Router node.In addition,the maintenance mechanism of routing nodes is improved and the network maintenance efficiency is improved by using node upgrading and demotion.In order to be able to connect OpenThread networks and external IP networks,an OpenThread border router is designed to connect two heterogeneous networks,OpenThread border router also supporting external commissioner certified devices.In order to ensure the security of OpenThread network,we use the combination of external commissioner and internal commissioner to fully protect the security of OpenThread network.In order to simulate the function of OpenThread network on a PC,an OpenThread simulation experiment platform is designed for function testing in the theoretical development stage.Finally,a smart home system hardware model is designed.The OpenThread smart home solution can be applied to smart home products with certain academic and economic value.
