Phase change heat storage technology,has many advantages compared to other heat storage technology,such as a constant phase transition temperature,high thermal energy storage density,reusable and so on.However,there is no corresponding performance evaluation systematic elaboration in the phase change heat storage research of the past,and the flow direction of the heat transfer fluid(HTF)in the phase change thermal energy reservoir(PCTER)is single in the previous work,lead to the time of heat storage and release of the ends of the PCTER constraints the whole progress of heat storage and release.To improve the disadvantages mentioned above,the following works was carried on:First of all,the PCTER performance evaluation system is described.After,a new type of PCTER was designed,which the internal structure is hierarchical double heat transfer channel.The horizontal and vertical PCTER experiment system were successively built,and the heat release and storage properties are described,analysis its heat storage and heat release performance in the different experimental conditions.The results of the study show that: 1.With the increase of HTF flow rate and the temperature difference between the HTF and phase change material,the time of the PCTER heat release and storage will reduced,and at the same time,in the same group experiments,the heat storage speed is faster than the rate of heat release;2.When the flow direction of the HTF in the PCTER is countercurrent,it will solve the problem that the whole phase change time for the PCTER is constrained by the ends of the PCTER satisfactorily;3.After the vertical PCTER experiment system had been made over,the problem of the ice which is floating in the top of the horizontal PCTER melt slowly can be solved,its heat storage power is 2.45 ~ 2.7 times of horizontal PCTER.
