With the continuous processing and development of the "Made in China 2025"plan,the bus manufacture industry is undergoing a deep reformation.Bus manufacturers have changed the way of thinking in the fierce international economic integrating competition,by starting concerning how to promote product performance with new technologies.Therefore,the lightweight research of bus has received extensive attention.The aim of the paper is to study and analyze problems of the frame structure of a pure electric bus to achieve light-weight design.Main methods and contents include:First,the body framework of the pure electric bus is analyzed to find the deficiency and shortcomings and to lay the foundation of upgrading and new design the bus from a semi-load structure to a monocoque body,by using ultra-high strength steel.Secondly,the theoretical basis of the finite element method and software,the finite element analysis software,is used from the point of application to analyze the dynamic and dynamic finite element analysis of the pure electric bus,which proves the new design complies with the design requirements.Finally,bus road test is taken according to the bus test rules,and tests of the key parts were taken after the whole vehicle test.The results prove the new body framework structure meets the vehicle performances.The main researches are:1.Study on the frame semi-load structure:optimizing the shortcomings,focusing on the defects and problems to realized lightweight design.2.Improve lightweight and welding procedure:use the ultra-high strength steel(QStE700TM)specifically on the new structure while considering the structure needs to realize lightweight design and improve welding procedure.3.Vehicle performance:with finite element analysis to the stiffness,strength and mode,the static and dynamic performance of the new monocque body is tested to meet the performance requirements of the vehicle.4.Whole vehicle test:vehicle reliability test regarding to the vehicle test standards were carried with special attention to the concerns of finite element analysis;and key components of the vehicle were dismantled to test separately;The results verify the frame design is reasonable and reliable.It provides scientific basis and reference for scientific evaluation and structural improvement of frame monocque body design,and has accumulated valuable experience in application.
