| With the advent of the global aging era,population aging has become a global problem.Based on analysis of products for the elderly both at home and abroad,the author finds out that the "silver" industry referring to the business sector that focuses on products and services for seniors is gradually improving in Western countries and Japan.South Korea has not yet entered the aging society,so the "silver" industry is developing at a slow pace there.As to China,it has entered the aging society after 2000,and all sectors of society have increased their attention to products for the elderly,leading to gradual development of the "silver" market in China.To design products catering to special tastes and needs of the elderly has b ecome an imperative.This paper analyzes principles of designing products for the elderly from the perspective of safety,ease-to-use,and aesthetics.Based on physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly,and combining app lications of man-machine engineering principles and interactive design,the autho-r conducts a targeted design of entertainment products and life products for the elderly.By distinguishing products for the elderly from general products,the aut hor attempts to give more care to the elderly and allow them to spend their re maining days in happiness.Product design in this paper aims to find out approaches to meet the elderly’s emotional needs from the human-oriented perspective under the prerequisite of meeting rational demands of product functions and logic.By doing so,the author hopes that product design can better serve the elderly and solve problems arising in daily life of some seniors. |
