As the penetration level of new energy power generation into the distribution networks increases,the installed capacity of global new energy power generation has exceeded the thermal power generation.However,the difficulties in new energy power generation prediction,control and dispatch have influenced the reliability and stability of distribution network operation.Considering that the energy storage technology can smooth the output power of new energy power generation,maintains the uninterruptable power supply on a time scale and effectively improves power generation efficiency,the technology is widely applied in active distribution networks.However,the current application of energy storage devices is faced with problems in high manufacturing cost and complex control.Therefore,studying the energy storage optimization technology in active distribution networks is of great significance for improving the economy and reliability of active distribution networks and enhancing the capability of active distribution networks to accommodate new energy power generation.Firstly,the fundamental power reliability theories and the evaluation methods for traditional distribution network reliability are discussed,which provide theoretical basis and proof for evaluation on distribution network reliability.Then,the probability of supplying region and sufficient power supply maintenance of new energy power generation is investigated and the distribution network reliability evaluation algorithm considering feeder partition method with quick-search performance is presented in order to analyze the influence of new energy power generation on reliability in the process of distribution network reliability calculations.Afterwards,the mathematical models for wind power generator unit and photovoltaic power generator unit and the charge/discharge model and mode of energy storage devices are established for the purpose of guaranteeing the improvement in reliability and economy of active distribution networks and analyzing the energy storage capacity sizing measure.Next,a mathematical model on multi-objective optimization configuration under composited energy storage technologies is presented.Next,Pareto-dominated multi-objective swarm group optimization algorithm is introduced to improve the precision and speed of swarm group’s solving global optimal search problem of multi-objective function.Finally,the feasibility and effectiveness of this energy storage configuration optimization are verified on active distribution network testing platform.
