With the rapid development of the information society,will produce more and more reports,letters and public documents,which have been making huge contribution to the communication of the world.But at the same time,people invest more and more resource to protect the information in case others steal it.Therefore,need high quality and inexpensive paper shredder to avoid the information leakage.In the development and production of the shredder,its drive system is the most important part that deciding the product quality.Nowadays,simulation technology has becoming more and more mature,which can be applies into all kinds of robot's production.In this way,product defects will be found earlier and the shredder will be optimized earlier so that can shorten the development time.In this paper,the finite element analysis of the shredder drive system has been done.And main work of the research contains the following points.Firstly,the shredder drive system finite element model has been built with Hyperworks software.Secondly,the modal analysis of the shredder drive system has been done to get the data of the first ten order modals.Thirdly,the static load strength analysis has been done to know the characteristic of the shredder drive system better,to provide reference to the design and performance analysis of it.Meanwhile,do modal experiment of drive system to validate relevant frequency and show finite element model is right and effective.Also in this paper did modal experiment with hammering method to get sample machine's frequency,compare data to validate whether simulation model is right or and whether simulation calculation is accurate.After that,this paper makes analysis of the static load and dynamic load by Hyperworks to provide some reasonable reference of drive system design and performance analysis.In static load analysis,the maximum stress of the simulation model meets the requirements of the material yield limit.In dynamic characteristic analysis,we not only consider nominal condition,but also consider extreme condition that drive system meet paper jam,strain and stress result show that drive system meet design requirement through analysis.Through careful observation of these two simulation images,find that stress concentrated in the third gear,but the first two gears waste a lot of material.In this case,this paper optimizes the shredder drive system to save the material and reduce the cost.It is a complicated work to optimize the transmission gear structure.In this paper determine the structure optimization scheme and optimize in different forms according to different places in 1st and 2nd gear,and get the optimization result by calculation.After analysis,the result not only meets the strength of material and modal test,but also save the resource to comply with the trend of lightweight.On this occasion,the designed shredder will have lower cost and more likely to keep the advantage position in the market competition.Finally,this paper summarizes the shredder drive system design,analysis and optimization,and prospects the development trend of the future,in the hope of making a little contribution to the shredder industry.
