The bottom frame shear-upper reinforced block masonry structure is used for commercial and residential buildings.This structure not only retains the advantages of integrity and seismic performance of reinforced block masonry shear wall,but also meets the functional requirements of the large floor space which can be achieved by the framework.Some experts and scholars have carried out theoretical analysis and experimental research on reinforced block masonry shear wall structure,which has got many results.However,the researches on the structure of bottom frame shear-upper reinforced block masonry are rare.In this paper,the finite element method is used to compare the seismic performance of bottom frame shear-upper reinforced masonry structure and upper ordinary masonry structure,and the following aspects are mainly studied:(1)The research status of the bottom frame shear-upper reinforced masonry structure and upper ordinary masonry structure and the seismic response analysis method of the structure are summarized.(2)Based on the theoretical analysis and experiments which have been established,bottom frame shear-upper reinforced block masonry structure and bottom frame shear-upper block masonry structure in the two layer(transition layer)are established,which the bottom layer of the lateral stiffness ratio are 1.01,1.41 and 1.92 at six different conditions of the model.Carry on the static elastic analysis on the modals by Mdas/Gen finite element software.The change of the vibration quality participation coefficient,the natural vibration period,the vertex displacement and the interlayer displacement angle of the six conditions are obtained.(3)Each of the six conditions of the model of pushover analysis,the base shear-vertex displacement curve,the ability spectrum-requirements spectrum and the plastic hinge distribution were compared,analysis seismic performance of bottom frame shear-upper reinforced block masonry structure and bottom frame shear-upper block masonry structure.(4)An engineering example of bottom frame-ordinary masonry buildings is reinforced with double-sided steel mesh cement mortar,by using Midas/Gen software for reinforcement before and after building modeling respectively,the static elastic analysis and static elastic-plastic analysis,comparison and analysis of the seismic performance before and after reinforcement.
