The vehicle suspension system is the key sub-system which affects the ride comfort and handling stability of the vehicle.The traditional passive suspension system can not take into account the ride comfort and handling stability of the vehicle.The control of the damping has been achieved by the semi-active suspension and the different road conditions has been satisfied so that it can enhance driving quality.In this paper,the continuously adjustable shock absorber which based on a passenger car equipped with a passive hydraulic interconnection suspension system has been studied in order to improve the ride comfort of the passenger car,The mathematic model of the adjustable damper and the AMESim simulation model are established,and the simulation test is carried out to verify the model.The different control strategies of the semi-active suspension on the basis of the 1/4 suspension model has been studied.Finally,established the TruckSim/AMESim/Simulink simulation model and simulate ride comfort of the vehicle.The simulation results verified the effectiveness of the control method and the adjustable damper valve.The main contents of this paper are as follows:The working principle of the adjustable damping valve was analysed.The mathematical model of the adjustable damping valve compression stroke and recovery stroke has been established based on the model of the adjustable damper valve of the single cylinder actuator.Based on the mathematical model of the adjustable damping valve,the hydraulic simulation model was established in AMESim.On this basis,the influence of the key parameters of the adjustable damping valve on the damping characteristics was analyzed.The simulation model was verified by the bench test.The damping characteristics of different control currents are simulated and the polynomial fitting of the control damping is carried out to realize the subsequent control damping force.The performance evaluation index of vehicle suspension was introduced.Studied the roof control,ON-OFF control and Fuzzy control based on the 1/4 suspension model.The suspension performance of the semi-active suspension model and the passive model is compared and analyzed in the time domain and the frequency domain.The results show that three kinds of control method can effectively improve vehicle comfort:The skyhook control of vehicle comfort improvement effect is the best,but leads to serious deterioration of tire load;ON-OFF control is a kind of discrete control rules,can achieve the damping level adjustment;Fuzzy control can realize the continuous control of damping,while keeping the dynamic load of tire and suspension travel,improve vehicle ride comfort.Established the simulation model based on TruckSim/AMESim/Simulink.Meanwhile,verified the passive hydraulically interconnected suspension vehicle model through the vehicle handling and stability test.Finally,analyzed the vehicle ride comfort simulation based on semiactive hydraulically interconnected suspension vehicle dynamics model.The simulation results show that the adjustable damping valve effectively improve the vehicle ride comfort.
