Research Of The Application Of Virtual Reality Technology In The University Planning

With the progress of the times and the needs of the development of the campus,many colleges and universities have experienced the process of new construction expansion,and renovation.In the course of construction of modern universities,The problem of campus heritage fracture,campus planning lacks integrity,foresight and detail,the exhibition of campus is simple and the management of campus data is confusion has arisen.Since the virtual reality technology was put forward in twenty-first Century,it has been accumulated and developed for nearly twenty years,and it has been used more and more widely in the construction industry.On campus design,using virtual reality to assist campus planning and construction has become the main trend of the construction of universities at home and abroad.This paper first summarized the virtual reality technology and described the application of this technology in the construction industry.Secondly,it analyzes and summarizes the problems existing in the construction of modern universities in China,and put forward four primal problems.Then,through leading the virtual reality technology into campus planning and construction,this paper demonstrates the advantages of application of this technology in four aspects:culture heritage in campus,campus overall planning,campus display and information management of campus.Through the application of virtual reality technology in new campus of Hebei University of Engineering,this paper put forward the solutions in view of the problems existing in the construction of modern university.At last,sum up full text,conclude the application achievements and deficiencies,then ended with an expectation for further research of virtual reality technology.It is hoped that the research of this subject can provide some reference to the application of this technology in the planning and construction of modern universities.
