It has been twenty years since the first expressway was opened in Jiangsu Province,great progress has made and a expressway network has covered the whole province.With the increase of the service timen and traffic volume of highway,highway distresses have continually increased,of which cracking is one of the most important types.Based on the data from in-service road,cracking characteristics,influence factors and development regularity have been researched in this paper.Firstly,the general situation of Jiangsu highway has been surveyed,and all kinds of data have been collected.Based on the statistical analysis of pavement crack data,it is concluded that transverse cracks are the major crack form in Jiangsu Province.Secondly,the paper analyses the main influence factors of highway pavement cracking.One-way anova has been used to analyze the effects of different factors such as traffic axle load,pavement structure,asphalt miture type and asphalt layer thickness.According to that,the degree of all influence factors can be found.Lastly,this paper analyzes the developing rules of transverse cracks of partial highways in Jiangsu Province.,and the regression analysis of the transverse crack development model has been carried out.Based on the time series method,the transverse crack development model has been established,and the rationality of this model has been verified by comparing the measured value with the calculated value of Fenguan Expressway.
