Continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) is a kind of concrete pavement in which the longitudinal reinforcing steel is continuous throughout its length and has no intermediate transverse expansion or contraction joints. CRCP has many advantages, such as higher strength of whole pavement, longer service life, better riding quality, less maintenance work and so on. It had been widely used for the main line of highway and airport pavement in the United States and European countries. The application and correlative study about CRCP is relatively late in our country. Some preliminary work has also been done in our country, but the theoretical study and construction techniqueis not perfect.CRCP pavement is an reiforced concret. Because of its self characteristics,it is inevitable to generate some cracks for dry shringkage and temperature variation. When these transverse cracks appear due to many factors, it will be unfavorable to CRCP pavement. Do the stiffness, the load carrying capability's changing rule ,and the reduction of the stiffness and the load carrying capability ,and cracking situation satisfy the actual request, All of these questions has not been solved yet. But the research on CRCP pavement with cracks does not carry out very well, so there is no accurate and reliable method to analyzing these structures in recent China. In the paper, the finite element method is proposed on analyzing the stiffness and the load carrying capability which a reinfluenced by the inclined cracks in CRCP pavement. This method is based on the result of the cracks in the concrete study all over the world. And the CRCP pavement is regard as composite . The analysis is done by this way to the CRCP. The real cracks is converted into the statistic average cracks. And then, the transverse cracks is simulated. The thesis analyzed the mechanism, reason of the cracks creation and the classification of the cracks. Points out the inevitableness of this breaks and outstand the importance of the study. The author introduces the fundamental theory about the cracks' analysis .Based on lei-yi highway ,the author analyzes the load carrying capability and the stiffness changes which are influenced by the crack space and the inclined cracks' height. Through comparing the analysis result of the finite element models imulating the undamaged pavement and the models imulating the cracked pavement, the paper evaluates the loading capacity and the extant stiffness after CRCP crack .And get the reduction factor of the loading capacity and the stiffness. At the same time, the author analyze the change of stress and displacement as local disengaging appears. And provide reference for the design of CRCP pavement and the study of its properties after crack.
