Sheet metal stamping is the most commonly used process in the production of automotive panels,which has high efficiency and high material utilization.The quality of the stamping die directly determines the quality of the forming part,so it is the key point of the sheet metal forming.For the automobile panel die,the spot rate of the die is an important indicator in the process of die debugging.Automobile panel die plays a decisive role in the quality of automobile body.The improvement of the spot rate of panel die mainly based on the repeatedly burnishing the die’s surface by the bench workers until the surface is up to the requirements.This process requires the bench workers have a lot of engineering experience,the workload is huge,and it needs lots of time.This directly increases the automotive panel die development cycle and development costs.Based on the numerical simulation of sheet metal forming,this paper compares the thickness of the part with the punch and die.According to the comparison results,adjust the die cutting tool path to make the gap between punch and die grids be consistent with the thickness distribution of the part,make the die manufacturing process more accurate,reduce the workload of the bench workers,shorten the development cycle.This paper studies a method of the accurate surface manufacture of the automobile panel drawing die,mainly carries out the following work:1.The simulation of sheet metal forming process is carried out.According to the thickness values of nodes,apply the method of gird mapping,node translation to construct the accurate surface grids model of automobile panel drawing die.Based on the accurate surface grids,the CNC machining tool path is translated to consistent with the thickness distribution of the part.2.Prepare VC program to achieve the accurate surface grids model of automobile panel drawing die and the tool path translation process.3.Taking a practical die as an example,constructing the accurate surface grids model of the die,and the CNC machining tool path is translated on the basis of this grid model.Through the analysis of the deviation between the new machining tool path and the original tool path,it can be seen that the method proposed in this paper can obviously improve the spot ratio,which has a certain significance for engineering applications.
