Container stowage plan determines the specific location on the ship of containers,on the basis of meeting the basic requirements and ensuring the safety of navigation and economical efficiency of operation.As the center part of containerships operation,stowage planplays an important role in improving the efficiency of port handling operation,ensuring the shipping safety and make full use of vessel's capacity.Stowage problem are affected by many factors,such as container type,terminal handling equipments and container arranging strategy in yard,etc,and constantly maximization of container size aggravate the difficulty of stowage problem,which makes the study of stowage problem reaches new heights.As a result,studying stowage optimization problem has a strong practical and theoretical significance.Because of the complexity of stowage problem,the computer is difficult tosimulate,so the loading person has to treat computer as a auxiliary tool,stowage plan still need artificial adjustment.How to specify the stowage plan by computer is hot and difficulty spots in the research of stowage problem.This paper focuses on the study of container ship's stowage problem.Containership arrives at a port of call and completes unloading,in most cases the ship can not unloading completely,there will be some far container on board.So this article's research object is set to a containership with non-empty initial state.This thesis taken the minimum shift and the optimal trim as objective functions,and taken the stability,strength of container ship and capacity for slots as constraint conditions.These two parts composed the multi-object optimal model.In the terms of algorithm,stowage experiences were summed up as stowage principle,then integrated into the heuristic algorithm to generate initial solution.The initial solution was optimized by the improved genetic algorithm,and the example verification was carried out on the practical containership with capacity of 1042 TEU.The improved algorithm could get satisfied solution in 3 seconds for different freight amount and different number of destination ports in the instance,so the optimal model and improved genetic algorithm are feasible.In the end,to facilitate the implementation of ship stowage visualization,this paper designed a stowage software,the stowage situation of every bay could be seen clearly with help of the software.
