Communication base station is a kind of special public facility which needs cooling all the year round,thus,resulting in the power consumption of air-conditioning in base station is very high.The separated heat pipe technology is just a solution to this problem.In this paper,through the experimental research on the separated heat pipe technology,field test in base station and CFD numerical simulation,we proved that it is feasible to apply the separated heat pipe technology in base station.The specific research work has been shown below:1.By comparing the operational principle,merits and demerits of separated heat pipe technology and intelligent ventilation technology,we draw a conclusion that the separated heat pipe technology is more suitable than the intelligent ventilation technology for communication base stations.2.We set up an experiment platform for separated heat pipe.Then we did some research on the influence of refrigerant charging rate,indoor and outdoor temperature difference,air volume,the height difference of evaporator and condenser and other factors on the separated heat pipe cooling system.Besides,we obtained their changing trends,the best refrigerant charge rate.3.In Changchun City,we measured the power consumption of the existing compression-type refrigeration air-conditioning system in a base station working alone or combined with the separated heat pipe cooling system.By MATLAB,we got relationship the heat pipe system cooling with fan capacity and indoor and outdoor temperature and derive wind turbines are subject to change control mode uses the temperature difference between inside and outside in third gear,but also gives the fan start temperature,making separate type heat pipe system meets the needs of the base station for cooling;By analysing the experimental data,we obtained the relationship between energy-saving amount J when the two systems working together and the average daily dry-bulb temperature outdoor t.Depending on all these results above,we analyzed the differences of the separated heat pipe cooling technology applied in Guangzhou,Chongqing,Zhengzhou and Beijing.4.We used CFD numerical simulation to analyze the influence of different air supply mode on air temperature and velocity distribution in base station when using different installation method.By contrast with the experimental results,we proved the correctness of the calculation model.Based on these results,we calculated the temperature and velocity distribution at 10 cm above the surface of major equipment in base station,and found the best way to install separated heat pipe cooling system when used in the base station.
