Increasing energy demand and the possibility of finding a large amount of energy in ice covered water,makes exploration and development of oil resources in ice invested water gradually increase,which greatly increase the risk of oil spill accidents in ice zone.Once oil spill accident occurs,oil will spread to hundreds of square kilometers in a very short time,which is a serious threaten to the Marine ecological environment.This would require the development of Marine oil spill emergency response plan to predict oil-ice interaction process and oil spill trajectory,thus prevent the harm of oil spill accidents will produce.Moreover,oil spill in ice region is also influenced by low temperature and sea ice.Thus,the oil weathering process in ice conditions and trajectory are more complex than oil spill in open water.It is supposed to predict oil spill trajectory and recover it based on the oil-ice interaction.At present,different scales experiments of laboratory test and field test of oil spill have done in ice covered water.This paper summarizes the studies of oil spill weathering process and oil drift trajectory in ice infested water,and make a comparison of the results of numerical simulation of oil spill trajectory in open water and ice invested water.The developed works are as follows:(1)Through collecting research of oil spill accidents inland and abroad,making research oil behavior after oil spill occurs,the preliminary theoretical research of oil spill weathering process,oil spread and oil drift was made.(2)systematic model tests focused on changes of oil spill characteristics,oil drift characteristics were carried out in the Ice Mechanics Ice Engineering Laboratory of Tianjin University.(3)This paper simulated oil drift in open water and ice invested water by using FLUENT software.In addition,analyzation and comparison of oil drift in different environment were conducted.
