There are a lot of Land reclamation projects taking place in china right now,most of which are using hydraulic filling method.Because of the high water content of the filled materials,the strength of the ground soil is extremely low,large construction machinery can not work on it.Furthermore,with a single conventional improving method,the bearing capacity of the soil foundation still can not meet the construction requirements,Therefore,it is necessary to seek a simple,fast and effective method to improve the soft soil foundation.The electro osmotic consolidation method has been proved to be effective to strengthen the ultra soft foundation soil,and the vacuum preloading is commonly used method to improve the very soft clays.Combining these two improvement methods together may provide a new stream of mud for domestic engineering reinforcement technology.In order to prove if the combination of the eletroosmosis and vacuum preloading is effective,the laboratory tests and in situ tests are carried out,in which the construction technology is developed and optimized.This paper mainly studies the following problems:(1)Study on Electro osmotic consolidation theory: explained the application and limitation of electro osmotic consolidation theory.(2)Laboratory model test of electro osmosis combined with vacuum preloading method: study on the indoor reinforcement effect of fluid mud and confirm the applicability of this method to soft soil reinforcement.(3)Site test of electro osmosis combined with vacuum preloading method: study on the in site operational characteristics and the reinforcement effect on the reclaimed soil which content much fine particles,provide new reinforcement technology and experience for large area reinforcement of reclaimed soil.(4)Study on the key influencing factors of the new technology,so as to optimize it later.
