Facing the tender that offshore platforms are working in deeper water zone.The size of flexible component is growing.The safety requirements are also getting higher and higher.Those flexible components have the property of large slender ratio and large deflection,which show nonlinear characteristics in geometry,hydrodynamic load,coupled in displacement and tension.This brings great difficulties to its design and analysis.In order to solve the practical problems in the design and strength evaluation of flexible components.In this paper,the dynamic response analysis of flexible members of floating platform has been researched.The main contents are as follows1)Based on the mechanical model of elastic slender rod,the dynamic equation of flexible member applied to ocean engineering is researched.In the arc length coordinate,the finite element method is used to calculate discrete dynamical equations and the iterative matrix is created.Different nonlinear solution method is applied to solve the static and dynamic equation problem.A program is completed according to the numerical of the equation.2)The dynamic response and mooring characteristics of mooring cable are studied by carrying out FDPSO mooring model test.Effective simulation of wind wave current environment and mooring system is accomplished.The results of model test contrast with the numerical simulation is in good agreement which verified the effectiveness of dynamic response analysis method3).The dynamic response and displacement tension characteristics of TTR and SCR are calculated by using the flexible component dynamic model.It's nonlinear characteristics of displacement tension has been studied.A calculation of SCR vortex induced vibration is done through wake oscillator model.4)Based on the mooring cable dynamic analysis method presented in this paper,Taking a certain FDPOS mooring system as an example An evaluation method about flexible components' ultimate strength and fatigue strength has been provided.
