Due to its characteristics such as mute,Stirling engine has the very good applicant prospect in the field of underwater power.Cylinder liner-piston ring is the core friction pair in Stirling engine,directly affecting the service life,reliability and friction power loss of String engine.This paper studies the law of friction and wear of glass fiber reinforced PTFE(GF/PTFE)piston ring-duplex stainless steel,claims the effect laws of working temperature on the friction and wear properties of GF/PTFE piston ring,reveals the effect of temperature on the wear mechanism of GF/PTFE piston ring,and obtains the effect laws of load and speed on the friction and wear properties of GF/PTFE piston ring,analyzes the friction and wear properties of GF/PTFE piston ring by using the method of situ observation.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)As temperature rises,the friction coefficient of GF/PTFE piston ring rises rises slowly after a sharp rise,and the wear rate of GF/PTFE piston ring rises exponentially.The ordering degree of the enhanced phase glass fiber trends to increase in the friction surfaces.The number of glass fiber per unit area and the area ratio of glass fiber on the surface is both growing exponentially,but The number of glass fiber per unit area can reflect the wear degree of GF/PTFE piston ring more accurately.When temperature is200 ?,the wear rate of GF/PTFE piston ring rises sharply and local materials slips off on the friction surface.(2)At 100? the friction coefficient falls after a rising first and the wear rate rises after a falling first as load increases.At 150 ? or 200 ?,the friction coefficient falls after rising first and the wear rate rises as load increases.At 100? and 0.48MPa,the friction coefficient falls and the wear rate maintains stability as the speed rises.At 100? and 1.6MPa,the friction coefficient rises after a falling firstly and the wear rate maintains stability as the speed rises.At 200 ? and 0.48MPa,the friction coefficient rises after a falling firstly and the wear rate maintains stability as the speed rises.At 200 ? and 1.6MPa,the friction coefficient rises and the wear rate maintains stability as the speed rises.(3)At 100 ?,when the sliding distance is between 0 km and 1.2 km,the friction coefficient of GF/PTFE piston ring rises sharply and the wear rate of GF/PTFE piston ring falls sharply as sliding distance increases.When the sliding distance is between 1.2 km and 5.4 km,the friction coefficient rises after a falling first and the wear rate fluctuates slightly as sliding distance increases.When the sliding distance is between 5.4 km and 14.4 km,the friction coefficient and the wear rate maintains stability as sliding distance increases.In the process,the enhancement phase glass fiber fractures after appearance with the morphology of thin strips and wide strips.The surface roughness of duplex stainless steel cylinder liner falls sharply after a slight fluctuation,and tends to be stable finally.
