With the development of railway freight in our country,China is more and more in need of transportation with high efficiency,fast speed and high reliability.As articulated vehicles have the advantages of saving the number of bogies,making full use of the axle load and shortening the distance between the vehicles,the articulated vehicle has gradually developed in our country.As Asia’s largest manufacturer of railway wagons,CRRC Qiqihar vehicle co.LTD has been designing and producing articulated vehicles and exporting them to Australia since 2005.In March 2016,CRRC Qiqihar vehicle co.LTD designed the GJ1 articulated connector.It can be used for the articulated wagon such as articulated flat wagon and articulated car transporter and Piggyback carrier and so on.Due to the complexity of the articulated connector structure and stress distribution,this article need to research on the method of load identification and analyze the situation in the process of applying load and articulated vehicle dynamics performance.It not only helps GJ1 articulated connector design improvement but also laid a solid foundation for the development of articulated vehicles in the future.In this paper,the load identification method of articulated connector is mainly studied based on dynamic analysis and structural strength analysis.Through the establishment of the dynamical model of two coupling articulated vehicle,the interaction between the joints and the load under some conditions are analyzed.At the same time,By defining the contact between the articulated connector parts finite element model is established and the structural strength of articulated connector is analyzed.According to the results of dynamic simulation and finite element calculation results The load identification scheme of longitudinal,transverse and vertical loads of articulated connectors is presented.In this paper,the vehicle dynamic performance of the two coupling articulated vehicle are analyzed.The analysis results show that the nonlinear dynamic stability and linear running performance and curve through performance meet the GB5599-85 the dynamics performance evaluation and test appraisal regulations for railway vehicle and design specifications of articulated connector and other requirements.At the same time,analyzing the load variation of GJ1 articulated connector under various operating conditions can provide some theoretical reference for the next track line test experiment.In this paper,with reference to the TB/T1335-1996 strength design and test appraisal regulations for railway vehicle and evaluation criteria given by manufacturer,the static strength of articulated connector was analyzed by ANSYS software.The analysis results show that the structural strength of GJ1 articulated connector meet the above standard requirements.In this paper,the fatigue strength analysis of articulated connector is conducted by reference to AAR standard.The analysis results show that the fatigue strength of GJ1 articulated connector meets the operating requirements of 5 million kilometers.Based on the above analysis results and the finite element calculation results,the load identification scheme of the longitudinal and transverse and vertical loads of the GJ1 articulated connector is presented and the position of the patch and the method of the group bridge are described.At the same time,the load identification scheme was accurately identified by analyzing the response of each load identification point.
