With the development of science and technology, the Internet of Things(IoT)has grown explosively in recent years, and vehicle networking is a concrete example of the Internet of Things. In the traditional vehicle driving, the driver can only judge the real-time situation of the road through his own cognition. This method has great limitations and can not predict the real-time situation of a wide range of roads. The car network can combine sensing technology, big data technology and cloud computing technology to fully aware of real-time traffic information in the entire network. It can improve the operation efficiency of the traffic system, provide people with comfortable and safe travel environment and reduce the probability of traffic accidents. Therefore, the study of car networking has great significance. This article mainly studies the simulation modeling and testing of car networking,in which includes software modeling and hardware modeling.First of all,it introduces the simulation platform and routing mechanism of this thesis.Secondly, this paper introduces the plan and implementation of the three kinds of routing protocols of car networking, simulates the three routing protocols of AODV,DSDV and OLSR on software simulation platform and tests the number of packet loss under the routing protocol, arrival rate and average delay. From the simulation results, when the independent variable is the node moving speed, the arrival rate decreases with the increase of moving speed of the node. When the independent variable is the interval at which the node sends the data packet, with the increase of the interval of sending packets, the arrival rate increases and the average delay decreases. The OLSR protocol is the best among the three protocols.Finally,multi-hop and OLSR protocol testing with the best overall performance is performed in the hardware development board OpenWrt,and the routing path, arrival rate and average delay are tested. This dissertation builds a topology network of five core development board nodes and tests the selection of MPR nodes in OLSR protocol. The tested OLSR protocol has a 94%arrival rate and a delay of 12.4ms.In a similar scenario, the arrival rate of the OLSR protocol obtained by the software simulation platform is 95.1%,and the average delay is 11.45ms.The simulation results obtained on the software platform are in good agreement with the test results on the hardware platform,so as to verify the correctness of the hardware and software results.
