The research of Vehicular Ad hoc Network(VANET)is the basis of the information-bearing platform of intelligent transportation systems.Nodes in VANET move fast,which leads to fast topological change and intermittent connectivity changes to the network,which brings great challenges to the related research and realization of vehicular networking.How to construct a near real vehicle network is an important research topic.Based on the real GPS data of more than 18900 taxis in Shanghai,this paper analyzes and predicts the vehicle movement mode,and applied to the grid-path hierarchical routing protocol according to the obtained movement pattern.In this paper,based on the historical trajectory data of more than 18,900 taxis in Shanghai,the further study on the vehicle movement pattern extraction,the prediction of vehicle motion and the application to the routing algorithm based on the extracted vehicle movement mode are carried out.The main contents are as follows:(A)Vehicle movement mode extraction.Due to the regularity of human activities and urban planning and layout,the movement of vehicles has certain spatiotemporal correlation.In this paper,by introducing the movement entropy of vehicles,we verify that there is space-time regularity in vehicle movement.(B)Vehicle movement prediction.This article uses the Markov model to predict vehicle movement.Through the analysis of vehicle movement entropy,the second-order Markov model is selected.By taking the environmental parameters such as traffic conditions as important training parameters of Markov model,this paper predicts the movement of vehicles between the grids with high accuracy.(C)Applied to the Grid-Path Hierarchical Routing Protocol.In this paper,we obtain the vehicle movement mode and the transfer rule of vehicles between the grids for the routing of vehicle network,and apply to the Grid-Path Hierarchical routing protocol.Due to the better utilization of the vehicles movement mode,showing better performance to the traditional routing protocols.
