Excess unbalance in rotors will induce vibration and noise during rotation.These deficiencies will reduce the performances of rotating machines.To overcome this issue,dynamic balancing process is necessary.Generally,either manually or automatically operated balancing correctional machines are employed to finish balancing procedures.However,automatic machines are the mainstream.There are several issues in the existing full-automatic machines worthy to be further studied.One is the amount of nonstandard patched components in an eighth-order analog filter circuit that is used to pre-process signals is too larger,which results in difficult soldering,low finished products rate as well as remarkable temperature excursion.Another one is electric control cabinets usually have large amount of wiring,so it is inconvenient to either assemble or maintain.Furthermore,due to the high demand of centering,the flexibility of machines is usually bad,which results in difficulties in improving the level of automation.Based on the current deficiencies of machines,this paper intends to move toward the informatization and flexible manufacturing according to "Made in China 2025" plan,improves the mechanical system,and researches the methods for signal processing and system construction simplification.Major accomplishments and achievements are listed as follows.(1)Based on the theory of cross-correlation,a reference generator PIC16F1778 and AD633 multiplier are employed in a breadboard to research cross-correlation and base frequency testing device.The abovementioned circuit is connected to a balancing machine to verify its performance.The results show that although this circuit's filtering performance can meet the testing requirements,its data stability is not as good as the eighth-order filter circuits.(2)Based on the design procedure of an ?R digital filter,an analog-digital hybrid filter is constructed using simple components.This new type filter is tested on a balancing machine and the whole balancing system is evaluated by the MSA method.When compared with other filters,it is found that the analog-digital hybrid filter has a better ability to process signals than the circuit for correlation and base frequency testing.In all,this hybrid filter has several advantages.(3)The characteristics and function to be realized of the control system are analyzed.On the basis of the production requirements,the main control module PLC,each sub module and the human-machine interface are selected.The control system is built and the wiring of the I/O is completed.Command codes are programmed for the operation of PLC controller and mechanical arm,and the function of each module is debugged.(4)The performances of mechanical and control systems of the improved machine are evaluated to ensure shortages of the original equipment have been improved.The final results show that the improved two-station automatic balancing machine is more convenient to be installed because of simpler wiring structure.It is also easier to be maintained and is more automatic.Conclusively,the complexity of the filter circuit is reduced,the flexibility of machine is improved and the unmanned production can be realized.The cycle-time of machine under simulated cutting conditions is studied and the efficiency development of the whole processing.
