Escalator is a widely used mechatronic product which can continously transport people between different floors.From function point of view,it mainly includes step system,guide rail system,drive system,handrail system and truss system.Track system plays main role to transport passengers which normally includes step band,step chain and guide rail.The paper is mainly focus on the research of guide rail mechanic structure and kinetic anasysis of step running tracks for the object to improve ride comfort and safety of escalator.The main contents of paper are as follows.On the basis of studying function for different sections of track system,it is researched that escalator speed,inclination and vertical rise are decided by different radius of upper and lower curve.Based on that,the paper summarized rule of radius selection in curve area of track system for different conditions.The possibility and method regarding to shorten length of horizontal step to have compact product size has been analysised on conditon that code is fullfilled.It has been clarified the necessity of having ecentric setting in reversing area for step chain roller and step roller.Based on researching track system design above,kinetic anasysis for reversing area and upper curve has been carried out respectively.After that,the formulas of position,speed and accelaration for step chain roller and step roller have been developed.Meanwhile,kinetic anasysis method of step for other areas of track system has been illustrated.Take above reseraching results as basis,kinetic simulation of step running on track system has been demonstrated;Moreover,the difference of inner roller and outer roller chain has been illustrated and kinetic simulation difference has been discussed as well.Based on current welding process of guide rails on track sub,the method of welding deformation control and stress release and optmization has been analysised and summarized.After that,the function,manufacturing method as well as surface treatment method of guide rail profile have been expounded respectively according to the different function of different area of track system.The features of return guide and reverse sprocket has been illustrated and explained,the advantage of sprocket reversing has been highlighted.The necessity to to having tangential guide in reverse of step chain sprocket has been demonstated.The mechanical model is established based on the analysis of track system load profile.Then,the stress and deformation of guide rail bracket has been analysised by finite element analysis method via ANSYS software.After that,the optimization of guide rail bracket parameters regarding to thickness,bending radius and fixing position has been done by Pro/Mechanic software.By combining engineering experience in practical with theoretical result from software,the optmized parameters are finalized.The researching of escalator track system in the paper is years accumulation of industry experience from author.The paper is expected to account for a modest spur to induce others to come forward with valuable contributions to escalator industry.
